Why is Miyazawa Sae part of my two top-oshis?
I'll start with one funny fact: the girls I've had the biggest crushes on have some similiar characteristics with Sae, mainly in personality. It's ridiculous, I know! But still true. My actual crush is just like that too! >__<
Sae has her own way to make my world appear like a fluffy pink cloud. Either it is spamming the room with "Genking" beam waves, being a smoking hot ikemen, making silly faces on pictures... I also feel, Sae is the kind of person that, whenever someone is in a pinch or needs help, she'll be one of the first to rush or try to help them, and somehow, spread her energetic shine.
She trully enjoys her job as an AKB member, and you can feel her desire of being accepted or liked by everyone, in sort of a way, her goal is mostly known as to "become everyone's Sae-chan". Although seemingly carefree about this kind of things, Sae can be secretly insecure behind her confident ikemen and outgoing personality. In the end of the day, she's the kind of innocent little thing you just want to endlesly hug and cuddle with until she falls asleep free of worries or sadness, free of things that could erase her strong beam of Genkiness that also helps to revitalize the whole group itself.
One of the most genuine girls of the group in my oppinion (or a trully talented miracle-like actress, but even if that's so, I'd rather maintain my illusion of genuinity. I know, I know, the whole "idol persona" talk...), she never fades to amaze me and nothing she does or can do will be able to make me stop adoring her. Balancing the ambition of a big career with such an ease with the members and creating deep bonds with "supposed rivals", is something trully hard, that can bring a lot of pain and challenges to oneself. But Sae still manages to be able to do it. And in a very special Sae-like way that I just can't find words to explain.
You see, Sayaka was my first oshimen, and still shares that place with Sae. But despite loving both very much as my number 1 idols, I'll find myself a lot more protective in things related to Sae than Sayaka. Sayaka is... Sayaka in her own way. Known to be really emotive and caring, true, but also has her career stable outside of AKB and more plausible reasons for fans to simply not like her, which I recognize (yet most of these reasons are what makes me love her anyway XDD). But Sae? I'll not let a person bash Sae easily without demanding strong arguments and, even if they're right in their own way, I'll still stand in a VERY defending position and struggle for that person to accknowledge Sae as the wonderful, unique character she is.
